Sipra's Diary:( Prompt#) "Single on Feb15" (. Print)poem. Broken Heart,

  Single on February 15?

How   blessed  are you!  Grand opportunity to  wait for next Feb 14 and   by then   to  sit flower to flower to collect   nectar of joy like butterfly  and  breathe  free until next year  with the thought that you are not captured  by any emotional trap. !.
If you feel neglected and overlooked, then go to a bar  and drink until you are lost in blissful mental state.
You came out as single on Feb 15.... as winner or looser?

If you are not sad for spending Single on February 15', then surely you are a winner in the gambling of love-game ! So celebrate with those who are also like you ;  Celebrate   the day  jointly, marked as     " bravo! non valentiners"  with  three cheers. along with  beer!

'Singles' are like blank cheque for receiving  universal invitation from many other  eager  single-hearts, with  potential  flowery path  of future.
If you are single on Valentine's  Day, your credit card / debit card remain  pristine . ...hmm  ...let the gift shops, gourmet dishes of restaurant,  liquor  from  bar, bouquet of flowers sigh and cry and shower plethora of curses :

"Damn to Single  buggar!"

Lastly,  for consolation  mysterious  "hope"is still there in Pandora's box!
Yes, hope.......either  flashing  or  flickering ......

Broken Heart

Starting from the youth to the end of life,

All thirsty hearts wait to be pierced

With some sugarcoated arrow in the heart .

Life  has no charm without romance;

It is better to be wounded and ooze,

Rather than a barren  life  to chose.

Oozing heart caused by failure love

Inscribes in blood long-lasting

love - lyric  and melodious music

That lingers long to  inspire  sensitive spirit.

An arrow piercing the the red heart

Symbolize the vibrant juvenile love

But random display of  Valentines' cards

Makes the image funny, naive and ridiculous!

But how heart can be broken ?

Is it of glass,  metal, or plastic?

It is a lump: soft and sensitive .

Is the 'broken heart' an utter literary fallacy?

Or a metaphor of intense emotion,

Popularly known as  depression.!

The theme of the poem focuses on the show-off or the plight of 'True' love: which is  gasping  under the piles of displaying cards;  it   prompted me to compose this poem .
