Sipra's Diary: [From my debut-"EYES ARE NOTORIOUS"]....MORGUE

 

Commentary on the poem,  “MORGUE”:

  I believe that “writing “ can be considered as craft which are permitted to improve or develop; whereas  poetry is quite different from craft .

It is emotional outburst,  like spring or geyser , or eruption of volcano (gift of Nature);………

 

It is exclusively unique expression of the  poet .  There shouldn’t be any imitation or Xerox of a particular poet’s emotion; It spoils the  poet’s genuine ness.

We can discuss the great poems from the standpoint of inspiration, theme ,language genre etc. And not to manufacture poets in the workshops; it will lead us to dig ‘BURIAL” ground for poetry!

   (9).      Title :  Morgue

I wanted to roam in a garden of flora

To smell the fragrance of summer flowers

But I stepped by mistake to a poetry Morgue

Where saw a cluster of elite bards, not my familiar.

 

Sitting in front of casket brought by poetry mentor;

One by one the poems from casket appeared 

To those elite judges who; like surgeon 

Dissected and diagnosed   the lines and words

Which were torn or plucked from the corpse of verse

To explain the emotion, meaning ,theme

Of which the poets themselves were (perhaps), unaware!
