Astrologer’s Prediction words= 633[# 47]
There lived a brahmin astrologer with his two amazon wives and six children.
He earned reputation as an astrologer for his accurate prediction about one's future. Almost five six days in week he was invited by his clients to go nearby villages or small town .
So in summer, he used to go out in town early morning so that he could comeback before the afternoon. His earning was good and spent quite peaceful life in the family. Seldom any neighbor peeped his cottage in fear to encounter of his two quarrelsome wives.
One hot summer, the astrologer took a shortcut path through 'the bank of the revulet near the burning ghat' [crematory place], to return home. Suddenly a skull of dead body came in his notice. He was surprised to notice the forehead of the skull was marked distinctly: "something more is still due to you!"
It is well-known fact that death is the end of life; freedom from all mundane suffering with the burning of body. So it was queer to notice the prophecy written on the skull of the deadman.
Out of great curiosity and for research the astrologer picked up the skull, wrapped in a piece of silky jute cloth and kept carefully in his bag carrying books and precious herbs, talismans etc,......
The astrologer had a small metal-box which also he used to take with him while visiting clients. After coming home he kept the wrapped skull in the metal box which was kept secured near his worshipping place.
Every morning the astrologer studied the skull minutely before going out, and after coming home...2/3 months passed by with no change .
The astrologer was almost convinced about his research that a skull was free from earthly miseries.
The two wives became aware of the changing behavior pattern to their husband.
They discussed among themselves and decided to open the metal box as their husband left home in the morning. They found out the skull wrapped in silken red colored jute cloth. The two women came into conclusion that the skull must be of some young woman with whom their husband was involved in secret love! And this illicit love was so deep that their husband was unable to free himself from attachment. They must take some action against the skull.
The two women in anger and revenge threw the metal box in the backyard with abusing words or the absent husband:
"imposter," "disloyal, " "betrayer!
Then they broke the skull into pieces by striking with a rock. Six children came outside the room to see their warrior moms! The older mom cleaned the broken parts of skull with a broomstick towards drain ; while the other mom pour water from a bucket. Two moms cried out, for the crowded children,
" hey piglets of dirty hog !
Come down sharp to us !"
" Spit on the crushed skull flowing in the drain; You all have to pee or poop on it ."
The children spat forcefully and tried to obey their moms for the rest.
By the time the astrologer reached his home; He saw his metal box lying opened in the backyard and all staffs are strewn around; his six children busy on drain in a queue; then was terrified to observe his enraged wives with rock and broomstick !
He asked with trembling voice , "What happened to you ?
He exempted the children from punishment to go inside the room !
He heard with patience the cause of grievance from his wives.
He divulged the true story of the skull to them: He brought the skull for his own research-work and he was now convinced and more confident about himself and about his own prediction.
If he did not bring the skull at home then it remained as skull for ever!
