Sipra's Diary:( POEM-1) Dream And Dragon.//. Poem (2) Idea Of Truth

    DREAM AND DRAGON

   Dream and dragon seem contrast as beauty and beast;

   One is charming, while the other is terrifying!

   It is our fallacy of thought to  imagine

   Dreams to bring joy of free movie for pleasing!

   The fact is both relations  belong  kith and kin.

   Dreams appear during sleep in subconscious mind

  When waking mind rests under deep layers of quilt!

  It is a great question why do we dream?

  Aristotle and psychiatrists viewed dream as a funnel

  To release guilt, shame suppressed fear and desire.

  Like a dreadful dragon  they erupt in nightmares

  Dream treated  mind as therapist to  refresh;

  Such  a great gift for us worthy to admire!

  Let dream and dragon fly like cloud together ,

 As our love fascinates to rose with thorn for ever!

 Idea Of Truth.   words=162/. lines=24

  As a kid for hand-writing I practiced one page :

 "Always Be Truthful," otherwise,

You'll be thrown to be fried in boiling oil in Hell's inferno

Image of Hell was scary and vivid for liars,

Whereas truth is defined vague and dubious!

As young adult I learn truth is not a mere  word;

But the base of knowledge :Truth,Beauty Goodness,

'Sat-Chidananda' as viewed in Hindu Vedas.

By nature it  is non-changing eternal, not judgemental.

With maturity as I become judgmental

Truth comes  to be a  great 'lie '--

That  has not been yet  discovered !

By time new ideas swap  the old, to remember

Truth of bygone days becomes myth in future.

Copernicus, Socrates, Galileo, and many others

Had to die for pioneering new truth, rejecting the past.

Why truth is  so slippery and tricky, not vivid as hell!

Whether science or philosophy, art or religion,

Ideas of truth changes with time, nothing is eternal.

***end.
