             [Revival of  Story-Telling,>. <AI ]

   Recently I noticed the media is advertising a lot in  support of story-telling.
I was thinking about it;
Our first literature  throughout the world evolved as aural and oral that is :story-telling. Scripture or written version came long long after it. we came about to know the pre-historic  life  of our ancestors through story-telling; it passed through generation to generation and spread  in  from community to community.

The landmass of our planet was not same as we see it in present days. There were lots of drama:drama of destruction and  new formation in this planet due   to earthquake, volcanic eruptions, flood ,hurricane and other natural calamities  In the last Ice-Age (perhaps 10 thousand years ago) demolished not only living creatures and plant life but also the then  CULTURE and  CIVILIZATION .As a result community scattered in different lands and the stories also moved with them but somewhat  distorted or changed from the original ones due to different languages. Evidences of most oldest SCRIPTURES were composed not before 1500 BC to 2000 BC.  i.e..3500to 4000 years  ago from now.
Very recent, importance of story-telling  and poems is  yawning  up  from the slumbering tomb : a revival of bygone time !

Why? The social thinkers have got an alarming  message of 'threat' for 'future' from the Artificial Intelligence[AI].

Children of this generation are obsessed with technology.They like to spend their time with electronic toys ,i-phones ,legos  comics,videos more than the HUMAN  CONTACT.

My grandson is of 6 years only.I never saw him overwhelmed  to see me in the airport as we or children  of our time used to become !         If I embraced him he becomes like statue and feels free when he is released. Coming from school he enjoys the cartoon films more than to talk with me. All pages of his drawing books  are full of images of aliens;  When I tell stories ,he  is more concentrated to playing with the legos.

If this trend continues ,then within couple of generations  human will lose the power of  hearing and speech as machine will supersede over human ; It is a real threat for the future.! tTelling stories of personal life and from individual  voice /or composing poetry from imagination are the antidote to robot and AI.

It is not new that our society has  been always passing through passage of changes since it was formed. Once wheel of change goes on rolling, and rolling, gather so much  momentum  that it is hard to turn back.    

As individual autonomy superseded over  the authority of community , and the rise of micro-family  caused to dissolve  the traditional joint family,  Our society took a very much new form.

No doubt machines and technology made life comfortable .Women's' new role in the job-sphere  endowed them financial liberty and freedom but shook the plinth of family life and the marital relationship.

Latest concern is the rise of Artificial Intelligence :the Computer brain! !

Will the computer brain supersede the power of human brain?  Creator will be destroyed by his own creation?

Scientists,philosophers, physiologists all are now busy in calculating how much threat for future lie ahead and how to manage the catastrophe!

German Philosopher Hegel said "Change Is the Only Reality;

it takes place in cyclic order. Regarding to political matters he predicted Monarchy,  Dictatorship, Aristocracy, Democracy etc repeats in cycle automatically. As no system is  flawless or perfect; they bear the seed of their own destruction  in themselves;  society detects it, brings change  by taking a changed course!

Society has an 'impetus' to feel the seismic vibration that  propels change in a subtle way; it is the invisible compound consciousness that fuels the  impetus : 

"Social Darwinism!"

The evolution of instinctive psychology in the level of social consciousness. But the problem is that there is no  tools like richter scale to measure the magnitude of  social seismographic pulse-beat. So random speculations, some factual and some imaginary that create fear.

So stories are coming back and not in old cyclic order as Hegel predicted; but as consumers' commodity in the market. 

It is rising as new  profession. They are selected on the basis of interview" and earn Money;   'Pearl of Wisdom' is the name of one such Organisation.

 Yes, story matters! 

It was the only effective  mass-media to educate and motivate the people in ancient time.  Socrates, Plato, Aristotle knew how to  use this powerful tools.
